Rizor is a 6 year old castrated male with very dense fiber. He is on the small size for a llama being just barely larger than an alpaca. He halters and leads easily but needs boundaries reinforced and placement with a herd of strong but fair geldings. The best setting for Rizer would be with someone who has horse handling experience and is accustomed to working with large animals. He would not be suitable for the first time llama owner or small children.

Timmy is a 5 year old gelding that was surrendered due to owner's inability to care for him. Solid white, very mild residual effects of M-worm.

Initially well trained Timmy is somewhat skittish and needs some one one attention to help him settle down.

He will need special home with flat ground because he shows a slight instability due to the effects of M-worm.

SPECIAL NEEDS

Kokopelli Krisko is a 5 yr old gelding surrendered due to divorce. He is a tall, big boned llama with beautiful medium/long wool. Needs some training but halters in a catch pen & leads with minimal encouragement. Krisco needs special care due to torn ligaments/tendons in one rear leg. He gets daily meds for comfort plus he needs a flat, easily maneuverable pasture with sedate pasture-mates as he should not jump or run. He’s been trained to trailer load, walk up on a scale & into a chute. Krisco is a natural guardian, but once he knows ‘family’ he’s very approachable & stands for back scratches. . Krisco needs sturdy fencing because he loves to rub his neck on gates/barn. He would make an excellent ‘buddy’ for an older or younger, gentle gelding, as he’s been a best friend/guard to an ‘old man’ while in foster care.

Bob, Lotz of Dotz as I call him, is a 4 year old gelding who gets on well with llamas, goats, and sheep. Bob was surrendered during the summer of 07 because, after castration, he continued to jump fences to be in the company of females. He is pastured next to females at my farm and has never even hinted at jumping a fence here. He is an extremely sweet llama who leads well and enjoys going on walks. He does require a bit of guidance during haltering but learns quickly and is not the least bit aggressive. This handsome appy would make an excellent companion to someone willing to put in a bit of time and consistency.
